What is Dye Sublimation?

We use a printing technique called dye sublimation to make our durable custom hats. In dye sublimation, the dyes are transformed from a solid to a gas in an instant, allowing the ink to fuse with the material on the molecular level. Then using heat we ensure that the designs will stay there. We've all seen hats, jerseys and other apparel that are missing letters, names and other graphics as they start to peel off. That doesn't occur with dye sublimated hats as the dye is part of the material instead of sitting on top of it.
